Samantha | Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Welcome, I’m Samantha.

Therapy is a place to find parts of yourself that have been hidden, hurt, or trying to be heard. I work from a place of presence, curiosity, and honesty – we’ll build trust together, at a pace that feels right for you. My role is to hold an open, non-judgemental space where we can explore what’s unique about your story. I’m honoured to sit with people through hard moments and to help them find practical, sustainable ways to feel steadier and more like themselves.

I completed my Bachelor’s in Psychology at York University and I am currently in my final semester of my Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. My approach has been shaped by almost 10-years of professional training and my own mental health journey, which helps me stay real about how messy and hopeful change can be.

My Approach to Therapy

I utilize evidence-based tools, focusing on the body-mind connection and, when beneficial, the spiritual aspects of healing. I choose techniques to fit you, not the other way around. Common approaches I use include CBT, DBT, Addictions-informed care, and Crisis intervention. I also use somatic practices, narrative techniques, role play, and experiential exercises when they support learning and change.

Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Relationship and Couples Work, Stress & Burnout, and Questions About Identity (moments when you’ve felt “too much,” “not enough,” or unsure of who you are).

Next Steps

I know that taking the first step to connect with a therapist can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re already carrying a lot, so I aim to make that first conversation as comfortable and pressure-free as possible. If you want to see whether we might be a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation
