Abigail | Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Welcome I’m Abigail.

My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as you begin your wellness journey. In our sessions, we’ll build a therapeutic relationship based on trust, openness, and authenticity.

I’ve experienced firsthand the transformative power of therapy. As a result, I developed a passion to help others discover the freedom that counselling can offer. I noticed a shift in my mood and a reduction in negative thoughts like shame and guilt. Eventually, I began treating myself with the same kindness I showed my loved ones. I also started learning about my core traits without self-judgment or the urge to change who I am.

Over time, I found myself appreciating things about who I am. I gave myself the grace to make mistakes, which helped me find peace in the present moment and practice acceptance. Because of this journey, I began exploring mindfulness, yoga, and meditation. I also started using physical movement and somatic work to support emotional healing in therapy.

My Approach to Therapy

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP), I am committed to helping people navigate life’s challenges. My education over the years lead me to completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.

Who I Support

I specialize in supporting clients navigating ADHD, relationships, trauma, body image and self-worth, and depression. These challenges can show up in so many ways: constant self-criticism, perfectionism, tension in relationships, difficulty focusing, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others. My role is to provide both a safe space and practical tools to help you make sense of these patterns and find ways to shift them.

A big part of my work centers on women-centered issues and exploring relationship systems and dynamics. Many of my clients are women who are untangling the pressures of identity, expectations, and self-worth, while also trying to build stronger, healthier connections with the people around them. Whether you’re navigating dating, family dynamics, friendships, or long-term partnerships, therapy can help you better understand your role in those systems and create the kinds of relationships that feel nourishing instead of draining.

What to Expect in Session

To support your growth, I integrate Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and somatic-based practices. These are grounded in trauma-informed, strengths-based principles. Altogether, they help calm the mind, soothe the body, and restore a sense of control.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you. Please consider booking a free 15-minute consultation. That way, we can connect, answer questions, and see if working together feels right.
