I aim to provide an affirming, non-judgmental, and safe space where you can feel heard, valued, and supported. I believe that meaningful change happens through genuine connection, and I strive to build therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, empathy, and respect. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to carry everything alone; a place to be seen, heard, and supported as you grow into the fullest version of yourself.
I am currently pursuing a Masters of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I previously graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Honours Bachelor of Health Sciences. I have a professional background in special education, and have been working with youth with diverse abilities for the last several years. I have a long history in community engagement and fostering change in personal, community and systemic levels.
At the heart of my therapeutic philosophy is a commitment to culturally competent, anti-oppressive, and inclusive practice. I am a strong advocate for inclusion, equity, and accessibility.
I believe that you are the expert of your own lived experiences, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and humility. I aim to offer support, and encourage self-reflection and growth. I take a client-centred approach to emphasize collaboration, and nempowerment as you explore your experiences, challenges and goals.
I draw from an integrative framework that includes person-centered, emotion-focused, solution-focused, and mindfulness-based therapy to cultivate self-awareness, self-compassion and emotional balance to process, respond and transform difficult emotions with clarity and balance. Approaches are tailored to suit you and your needs.
Therapy is not something done to you, but something created with you.
This next step can feel overwhelming, but together, you will identify your strengths, clarify your values, and move toward the changes that feel most meaningful in your life.
