I am a psychotherapist (qualifying) with a deep commitment to supporting diverse populations. These include couples, parents of children with ASD, neurodiverse clients, individuals with ADHD, military families, and transracial adoptees. With a degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counselling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I bring both knowledge and compassion to my practice.
For the past 15 years, I have focused on counselling parents of children on the autism spectrum. I help them navigate the complexities of parenting with practical strategies and emotional support. As a neurodiverse practitioner and parent of a child with ASD, I offer a validating, empowering space to explore identity and embrace neurodiversity through personalized coping strategies.
Beyond this, I have extensive experience supporting complex family dynamics. My work with military families, ADHD coaching, and transracial or interracial families has deepened my understanding of diverse needs. I often address issues such as family estrangement and reconciliation using a collaborative and empathetic approach. I also provide culturally competent care for clients from dual cultures, ensuring therapy respects their lived experience. Staying current with research and best practices is an ongoing priority, so I can provide the highest level of care.
Outside of work, I’m a vocal advocate for mental health awareness. I’ve presented at national conferences on multicultural counselling, with a special focus on transracial adoptees and their families. When I’m not working, you might find me hiking, warbling off-key at Karaoke, or pretending I can detect all the subtle wine notes (spoiler: it’s always oak and cherries). Most of all, I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your therapeutic journey.
